Disabled LoL Player Gets A Rare Pentakill Without The Use Of His Hands

A disabled game streamer has posted a video of himself getting one of League of Legends' rarest accomplishments without the use of his hands. Even more surprising, the group turned out to be a virtual band made up of fictional members — vocalist Karthus, guitarist Mordekaiser, bassist Yorick, keyboardist Sona and drummer Olaf — embodied by an original skin line in the massively popular online game League of Legends.

Grasp of the Undying was recorded in the catacombs of the Shadow Isles , and engineered and produced by Riot Games in Los Angeles, CA and London, UK. It was also mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Circus Maximus, Anubis Gate, etc.). Lyric videos for the pre-released songs ‘Tear Of The Goddess' and ‘The Bloodthirster' have already racked up over a million views between them, thanks to the unique bond the gamer has to the band.

Update July 22, 2017: We didn't have to wait very long before getting to hear some of this new League of Legends album, as two singles from it are now up on YouTube. Now, taking a page out of Blizzard's infamous Elite Tauren Chieftain , it looks like Pentakill is set to become its own real-world band, with the "Smite and Ignite" album due out on June 3.

Update August 3, 2017: Lo and behold, the gods of metal have brought upon us a new album on this great day, as the full second Pentakill album is now available to stream and download. Pentakill skins for League of Legends are the skins released with the Pentakill theme.

After the disastrous end to their last live performance, where Mordekaiser destroyed the entirety of the Freljordian crowd, Karthus gave the fateful order for Olaf to drum the Worldsplitter Rhythm” that sundered the land and brought down the icy realm's highest peak upon Mordekaiser.

If you're a fan of metal, a fan of League of Legends, or a fan of your face melting off of your skull—you're going to love it. From what I understand, in the hit video game League Of Legends there is a continent called Valoran. This skin announcement is tied to Pentakill's second album release , which had the first two singles drop on Friday.

Olaf's skull sticks double as grenades, Sona's keyboard comes with magical attacks as deadly as her concert piano chords are soothing and Mordekaiser's axe comes with its very own dragon. Pentakill Sona is a fiery red-haired keyboardist in the legendary Pentakill band.

Behind the scenes, the songs on Smite & Ignite were created by a rotating cast of professional metal musicians, including Jørn Lande (Jorn, Beyond Twilight, Masterplan) and ZP Theart (Skid Row, Dragonforce), as well as by the music composition and production team at League of Legends' parent company, Riot Games.

After ferrying Karthus back to Valoran, Yorick decided to join him, create a ' awesome' band, and unleash their terrifying symphony on the unsuspecting living masses. League of pentakill Legends” is a product of Riot Games and the company's project lead for Pentakill, Viranda Tantula, provided some answers below.

Factor in the eye-popping visuals and explosive violence of League of Legends - witness the Mortal Reminder video for evidence - and Pentakill could hardly be more fitting (or preposterous) standard bearers for the love-in between gaming and metal fans, blurring the lines between so-called real music and digital fantasy in a way that no acts have managed before.

JL: Pentakill is still so fresh and new that it doesn't seem right to start playing songs from the two albums, especially since there hasn't been any Pentakill tour yet or individual shows to establish the band as a live act in the global music scene.
